Pursuing Peace and Making Art

Sometimes when I create artwork I lose my peace, and I think my painting is not turning out very good. Same thing with my stories. I have to push through the ugly phase, to get to the good. I need to hold onto peace, despite the bumps in the road, just like in life.

I am trying to pursue peace in my life and I think writing children's stories and making art can be very peaceful. But the only way to have that peace throughout the whole process is to have a strong stand in peace. To trust in the one who gives us true peace. God. He wants to helps us. He wants to work all the bad out for our good.

I am still working on my children's story. It has been a very long process. Too long. I am in the ugly phase, but I hope to finish it very soon. I will hold onto the peace that God has given me, not as the world gives. I will finish it and then move onto the next story or next adventure.

God wants us to enjoy life and pursue peace too. Life is too short, not to enjoy it. Everyone goes through ups and downs, but we can't stay stuck in the down. I hope to look up, trust in God more, and remember that He is leading me down a great straight path, even though I stumble, He is always with me.

"In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:6 (NIV)
